What can I say about another amazing group I haven't said already? Lots. The week started out with our town's feast/festival - how apropos! This is the time of year when all the individual towns in Gozo have their annual feasts, which basically means each town honors their saint (or saints) of choice by decorating the town center, letting off very loud fireworks, parading marching bands and making general merriment.
When we weren't hanging by the pool, getting spa treatments, sight-seeing and exploring local restaurants, we were getting seriously playful in the yoga studio. This week's group was very strong and experienced, so we pushed the boundaries of Hatha Yoga - totally appropriately, of course.
Our last night together was very special because it was Katrina's birthday, and we had a lot to celebrate. So we took our tribe (11 in tow) to Ta Funar in Xaghra (one of my favorite restaurants in Gozo), pushing the boundaries of food/wine/laughter/desert - again, totally appropriately (wink wink).
Gorgeous students.
Happy Birthday, Katrina!
People sometimes ask me if I ever feel burned out teaching so many yoga retreats. And, for the first time in my working like I can honestly say (making full eye contact) that I never do because each week is different, each group has a different lesson and gift for me. This group left me feeling especially fulfilled.
